Overview
Fertily is designed to help users track fertility treatment cycles, medications, appointments, reminders, event attachments, and treatment-related results. We aim to collect as little information as possible while providing the core product experience.
Information we collect
- Account details such as email address if sign-in is enabled.
- Cycle data, appointments, medications, events, and notes entered by the user.
- Files attached to events, including images and PDF documents selected by the user.
- Technical data needed to operate the app, such as device and session information.
Health-related information
Fertility tracking data may be sensitive personal information. Fertily treats cycle details, embryo information, medication plans, appointments, reminders, blood test results, ultrasound results, treatment notes, uploaded attachments, and related results as health-related data and handles them with elevated care.
How we use information
- To provide the main cycle-tracking experience.
- To synchronize your data securely across your devices.
- To store and retrieve event attachments selected by the user.
- To create optional reminders, calendar events, and schedule views.
- To power optional widgets that display parts of a user's schedule on their device.
- To provide customer support and troubleshoot issues when requested.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the reliability and quality of the app.
- To respond to support or account requests.
Access to your data
Your fertility treatment data, including medications, appointments, embryos, test results, treatment notes, and cycle information, is stored securely to support the service and synchronization across your devices.
Access to this data is limited to authorized personnel at Fertily and is only performed when reasonably necessary, such as to provide customer support you request, investigate technical issues or bugs, or maintain and improve the reliability and security of the service.
We do not access your health information for advertising purposes, and we never sell your personal or health data.
Permissions and device features
- Photos and files: if you choose to attach an image or PDF to an event, Fertily may access the photo library or file picker you use to select that file.
- Calendar: if you grant calendar access, Fertily can create, update, and remove treatment-related events in your device calendar.
- Notifications: if you enable reminders and grant notification permission, Fertily can schedule local reminders for medications and appointments.
- Widgets: if you enable device widgets, Fertily may store a limited schedule snapshot on your device so the widget can display upcoming items outside the app.
Sharing
Fertily does not sell personal data. We may use service providers that help us host infrastructure, authenticate users, store files, monitor reliability, or deliver core app functionality, subject to appropriate data handling safeguards.
Storage and retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms. Users may delete their data from within the app, which will erase their stored information from the service. Users may also request account or data deletion through support.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No system can guarantee absolute security, but protecting sensitive health-adjacent data is a core product requirement.
